Paper: Long-Term Variations in Beta Cephei Stars
Volume: 135, A Half Century of Stellar Pulsation Interpretations: a Tribute to Arthur N. Cox

Abstract: A list is presented of the beta Cephei stars in which long-term variations of the pulsation amplitudes and/or frequencies have been detected or found to be below the detection threshold. Then the case of 16 (EN) Lacertae is considered in some detail. The recent interpretation of the long-term amplitude variations of the star's three strongest pulsation modes is verified using new data. Finally, the cases of long-term variations which lack satisfactory explanation are briefly commented upon.
