| Abstract: |
The far-ultraviolet (UV) light of old stellar populations is highly sensitive to global population parameters. Recent observations of radial gradients in the UV/optical colors of E/S0 galaxies indicate that parameters other than mean metallicity, most likely age or helium abundance, are important. |
