| Abstract: |
After a presentation of the various definitions of stellar yields, we discuss in particular the yields of massive stars and their associated uncertainties, in the light of recent theoretical results. We consider then the role of these yields for our understanding of the chemical evolution of the solar neighbourhood and of the halo of our Galaxy. Some potentially ``puzzling'' cases revealed by recent observations are pointed out. |
