We present the behavior of the SU UMa type binary V1504 Cyg over several supercycles based on observations carried out at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory and at the Crimean Laboratory of Sternberg Astronomical Institute in 1998, 2000, 2001, and 2003. Some of V1504 Cyg characteristics reproduce from one superoutburst to another, and some do not. The relatively short supercycle length varies from year to year. It was 104 days in 1998, 130 days in 2001, 118 days twice in 2003. The normal cycle length changes from 5 – 6 to 12 – 13 days. Typically the cycle length grows roughly during the initial 2/3 of the supercycle and then decreases to the initial value. The one-wave superhumps appear immediately as the superoutburst starts and have at that time the highest amplitude of 0.5 – 0.6 mag, which soon decreases down to its mean value 0.2 mag. The photometric period at the first day of a superoutburst is extremely close to the orbital one (0.069 day). In a day it increases to 0.0722 day (which we assume to be the superhump period) and then remains constant during the plateau of superoutburst. At the phase of the fast decline of the superoutburst the late superhumps appear. |
