Abstract: Radio and X-ray observations yield important diagnostics to study the long-term evolution of coronae of solar-type stars. We present a synopsis of recent results on X-ray emission measure distributions and radio gyrosynchrotron emission of solar analogs with different ages, and put the results into the context of observations of other types of active stars. We find that a separate X-ray emission measure component beyond 10 MK decays rapidly with increasing rotation period, apparently correlated with the production of nonthermal electrons. A hydrodynamic flare-heating model is applied to interpret the double-peaked emission measure distributions.
