| Abstract: |
Preliminary results on a long term Hα monitoring of RS CVn binary systems at Catania Astrophysical Observatory are reported. Rotational modulation of the emission has been detected in almost all the monitored systems. Changes from season to season, in the variation amplitude and phase, have been found in systems with enough repeated observations. Approximate solutions for the active region (chromospheric plages) distribution are discussed. |
