Abstract: We use a set of lithium-rich, nearby field stars with new Hipparcos parallaxes to define a ZAMS color-magnitude diagram. We compare this sequence with the Pleiades and Praesepe distributions that are based on newly determined Hipparcos distance moduli (Mermilliod et al. 1997) for these clusters. We find that the most of the young field stars coincide with the distribution of Praesepe stars and therefore lie about 0.4 mag above the Pleiades sequence. However, there are a few stars in the sample that fall along the Pleiades sequence. This apparent departure may be due to photometric errors --- however, if the photometry is accurate, these stars could be exhibiting the same phenomenon observed in the Pleiades.
