Abstract: |
The symbiotic system AG Dra has quiescent and active stages; the latter may be explainable by increased thermonuclear burning of a white dwarf, accreting from the wind of the cool component. In our previous studies we have discovered a second period (around 355 days) in addition to the orbital one on the basis of photoelectric photometry (Friedjung et al. 1998) as well as using radial velocities (Gális et al. 1999). We re-analyzed radial velocity measurements of Fekel et al. (2000) to test for the continued presence of the second period in our paper by Friedjung et al. (2003). Recently we have added spectroscopic material and confirmed continual presence of pulsation variations in radial vecocity curve (Gális et al. 2004). The new photoelectric and CCD photometry obtained at observatories Skalnaté Pleso, Stará Lesná, Valašské Meziříčí, Greve and Vallinfreda, Italy was used to study the photometric behaviour of AG Dra during 10 years long activity stage in this paper. |
