Abstract: We introduce a Wideband Analog Autocorrelation SPectrometer (WASP), that has been designed and built at the Universities of Massachusetts and Maryland. WASP has a bandwidth of 3.25 GHz covered by 98 spectral channels at a resolution of about 33 MHz. The spectrometer has been optimized for the bandwidth and resolution requirements of millimeter and submillimeter-wave line observations of molecular gas in nearby galaxies and in high redshift objects.
