Abstract: |
I review properties of the scientific instruments onboard the ASTRO-E satellite, and what we can do for mCVs with them. The micro-calorimeter has an energy resolution of ~10 eV at 6 keV, the best of all the detectors so far in orbit, This enables us to diagnose the density of the post-shock plasma directly. The hard X-ray detector is sensitive in the band 10-700 keV, which is useful to measure the continuum spectrum. |
