Abstract: Following a brief overview of the structure of M31's stellar halo, I discuss its dark halo, its halo globular clusters and the stellar content of its stellar halo. Although the halo globular clusters of M31 and the Galaxy are fairly similar in their abundance distribution and in most of their systemic properties, the chemical properties of their stellar halos are strikingly different: the stellar halo of M31 is is about 1 dex more metal-rich than the stellar halo of the Galaxy. I conclude with a brief discussion of the implications of these observations.
