Abstract: |
Evidence is reviewed that at least two histories have been involved in the formation of the Galaxy's halo. The current state of searches for metal-poor stars with solar or sub-solar [alpha/Fe] ratios is summarized. Discussion of ``second parameter" globular clusters that may have different origins is explored from a different perspective: that of the Oosterhoff~I and II classes. |
