Abstract: We present new evidences, from the observed proper motions of the stars of the Scorpius OB2 association, in favor of the model of star formation by impact of HVCs on the galactic disk proposed by Lepine and Duvert (1994). According to that model, the rho Oph molecular cloud, the Aquila Rift and the extended Sco OB2 association result from a single HVC impact. The basic aspects of the mechanism of star-formation by HVCs are explained.
