Abstract: |
Massive stars (≥ 8MSolar) shape their own environments, due to the combined action of winds, radiation and stellar outbursts. We discuss the nature and evolution of the medium around massive stars, with specific reference to a 35MSolar star, and show that it is hard to infer the properties of the stellar mass-loss from observations of the circumstellar medium around evolved stars. |
