| Abstract: |
N-body models of galaxies with mass exchange between gas and stars are discussed. The consumption of gas by star formation and the mass-loss from stars via stellar winds and SN explosions are considered. The gas recycling has important consequences for closer connection between stellar and gaseous structures and formation and lifetime of rings. |
