Abstract: Bright, boxy elliptical galaxies are in general more massive than typical spirals. They should have experienced multiple mergers with progenitors which already were partly either early type boxy or disky elliptical galaxies. We present results of such mixed merger simulations. Equal mass mergers of early type galaxies always lead to boxy, anisotropic remnants even if the progenitors were disky. 3:1 mergers lead to remnants with disky isophotes and anisotropic kinematics which is not observed.
