Abstract: NGC 4548 is an anemic spiral galaxy in the Virgo cluster which has been observed in HI, Hα and CO. We discuss its kinematics in detail using a threedimensional visualization. With the help of a kinematical and dynamical model it is shown that the ram pressure due to the galaxy's trajectory through the hot intra-cluster medium is the most possible explanation for the peculiar component of its velocity field.
