Abstract: In this paper we present a compilation of detached eclipsing binaries with known or suspected orbital eccentricity. The listing of this particular subset of eclipsing binaries is very useful for an observational study of the internal stellar structure, through the comparison of theoretical predictions with measured rates of apsidal motion or the level of syncronization and circularization achieved in the lifetime of the binary system. A catalogue of more than one hundred definitive candidate binaries with clear evidence of orbital eccentricity and the possibility to determine accurate absolute dimensions is given together with the list of special systems and another with those that can only be included as suspected eccentric binaries. Some comments and samples are finally given as an extraction from this database, as well as its availability.
