Abstract:	I outline the topics covered during the conference on Massive Stellar Clusters held in Strasbourg, France, in November 1999, with an emphasis on the interdependence of observations, stellar evolution theory and stellar dynamics. I also stress that a significant effort needs to be undertaken in stellar evolution theory and computational stellar dynamics if the possible connection between young massive clusters and classical globular clusters is to be understood.
