Abstract: The Large Millimeter Telescope (LMT)is a join collaboration between the United States of America and México through the University of Massachusetts (UMass) and the Instituto Nacional de Astrofísica, Optica y Electrónica (INAOE). The LMT will have an aperture of 50 meters and it planned to be sensitive in the millimeter regime. It will be installed on Cerro La Negra, in the Mexican State of Puebla, at 4,640 meters above sea level. First light is expected by the year 2000. In this poster we present overall technical aspects of the project and a brief description of its scientific impact and perspectives.
