Abstract: We compare the latest results on the surface photometry of the polar-ring galaxy (PRG) NGC 4650A, based on HST and new NIR data, with predictions from different evolutionary scenarios for these objects. The peculiarities of the central S0-like object, the polar structure and stellar population ages are in agreement with the evolutionary scenario of two disks in polar collision for the origin of PR galaxies as described by Bekki (1998).
