Abstract: Photometric bulge and disk properties of a sample of M51-type pairs observed in BVRI bands are analyzed. We found extremely large bulge-to-disk ratios for the companions and also shallow outer profiles for many of the close pairs. According to our 3D live bulge-disk-halo simulations these properties can be understood by stripping of material from the outer disk and by steepening of the inner disk, which can be erroneously interpreted as belonging to the bulge. Especially, one should be cautious while applying the R1/4-law for bulges of highly disturbed galaxies.
