Abstract: Dynamics of meteoroids and dust grains of cometary origin are investigated both analytically and numerically. The gravity of the Sun and one planet is taken into account. A simple analytical formula for the orbital distribution of particles in the regime of close encounters with Jupiter is suggested supposing ergodicity on a limited region of phase space.
