| Abstract: |
We present new results of our current investigation of extraplanar diffuse ionized gas in the halos of edge-on galaxies. The ionization problem is briefly re-discussed using a new set of long-slit spectra covering diagnostic emission lines in the blue. New radio continuum observations show an alignment between magnetic field vectors and the outflows. |
