Abstract: Studies of ongoing star formation in the central kpc of active galaxies require the use of techniques that are natural detectors of young massive stars and provide the high angular resolution needed to disentangle AGN from luminous massive stellar clusters. HST ultraviolet studies of the Seyfert 2/LINER galaxy NGC 4303 and VLA radio studies of the infrared luminous Seyfert 1 galaxy NGC 7469 are presented.
