Abstract: We observed the central kpc of M81 in CO (1 --> 0) and 3 mm continuum at 100 pc resolution in order to probe molecular gas and to search for the nuclear inner Lindblad resonance around the low-luminosity AGN M81*. Most molecular gas in the region is in the ``pseudo-ring'' at a radius of ~500 pc. The region within 300 pc from the nucleus, where the resonance is expected, has no CO emission. The resonance was thus not found. The 3 mm continuum from the nucleus showed intraday variation, and no CO absorption against the continuum was detected.
