| Abstract: |
The wavelet transform was used to identify the inhomogeneities in the distribution on the celestial sphere of stars from Tycho2 Catalogue. The method was tested by simulations. The wavelet coefficients maps (for the samples of stars from different visual magnitude intervals) around the whole celestial sphere were constructed at different restrictions for visual magnitude values. Statistically significant groups of stars in the region l ∈ [0°, 180°], b ∈ [−30°, −10°] were identified. |
