Abstract: We present statistically significant evidence for the existence of a cold dust component in all late-type (later than S0) galaxies, i.e. spirals, irregulars and Blue Compact Dwarfs (BCDs). This result comes from our analysis of a complete volume and luminosity limited sample of late-type Virgo Cluster galaxies observed with the ISOPHOT instrument (Lemke et al. 1996) on board the ISO satellite.
