| Abstract: |
The Instrument Physical Modeling Group at the Space Telescope European Coordinating Facility has recently released the final version of the HST Post Operational Archives (POA) Faint Object Spectrograph (FOS) calibration pipeline. We present an overview of the capabilities of the v1.2 STPOA release, listing areas of major calibration improvements: wavelength zero point shifts, dispersion solutions, flat fields, and darks. We emphasize the relationship of scientific data integrity and archive improvements to the concept of the Virtual Observatory. |
