Abstract: Since 1995, several planet candidates have been detected around stars other than the Sun but many of them present unusual values of their orbital elements. In this study, the orbital modification problem is studied through the direct numerical integration of star clusters with the code NBODY5. We show that some of the unusual features observed in extrasolar planetary systems may be a by-product of dynamical interactions between planetary systems and stars in clusters. Our results suggest that the lack of planets observed recently in the globular cluster 47 Tucanae can not be explained as a result of orbital disruptions.
