Abstract: In this review I present an overview of the physical characteristics of outflows across the mass spectrum and summarize the similarities and differences in the energetics between low and high luminosity young stellar objects. I then discuss how theories and simulations developed for low mass systems suggest a possible change in the outflow/infall dynamics as the mass accretion rate increases.
