Abstract: The dynamics and relationships between gas inflow processes, circumnuclear star formation and the presence of an active nucleus are important since they might provide valuable leads towards understanding the transport of gaseous material towards the nuclear regions of active galaxies. We summarise our results on a few galaxies, and discuss the possible relationships between circumnuclear star formation and nuclear activity.
