Paper: Drive-By Professional Development is NOT the Answer

Abstract: Relevant professional development along with teacher and program support must be provided over time. A “One-Shot” teacher professional development experience, or what I like to call Drive-By PD, is not effective in almost any significant way to improve teaching practice (Loucks-Horsley et al. 1998). This workshop focused on identifying and discussing factors to consider when planning EPO.
