Abstract: |
Simple numerical considerations show that growth via minor mergers can be important only for the most massive galaxy disks, and limits to this process can estimated starting from major-merger rates. A relation is suggested between the lifetime of dust entering a disk during such events and the subsequent star-forming history. |
