Abstract:	Interstellar Studios and 21st Century Learning are sponsoring a new program, Astronomer in the Classroom, in support of the International Year of Astronomy 2009. The Astronomer in the Classroom Program will provide astronomers and students the opportunity to interact, in real-time, during the IYA2009. Astronomers will present their recent research and communicate directly with students from the convenience of their research facility and/or office, and students will pose questions to the Astronomer of the Day from the convenience of their school computers.
