| Abstract: |
Intial results from an ongoing Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) HΙ survey of a sample of interacting galaxies are presented in this paper. Arp 086 and Arp 072, both of which are M51-like systems have been discussed here. We note the striking similarities in the HΙ distributions of these two systems with that of M51. Work is in progress to understand the extent of this similarity and possible reasons for it. |
