| Abstract: |
A 16-hour time series of data from a 96 × 96 × 20 Mm hydrodynamic convection simulation has recently been made available. We will present the preliminary results of applying the ring-diagram technique of local helioseismology to this dataset, in comparison with similar quiet-Sun observations from GONG and MDI, and show that it is possible to recover the underlying horizontal flow profile, at least in the upper half of the region. |
