Abstract: The main properties of the coronal mass ejections observed by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) mission’s Large Angle and Spectrometric Coronagraph (LASCO) from January 1996 until December 2008 are studied. For this the extended database of the solar proton enhancements with proton flux >0.1pfu at energy >10MeV measured at the Earth’s orbit (Belov et al. 2005) as well as the solar flare flux measurements provided by the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) during this time period are used. Coronal mass ejections data were corrected taking into account the gaps of SOHO during the last solar cycle and were separated according to their linear speed, their width and their kinetic energy. Additionally, a correlative analysis of these properties of coronal mass ejections in connection with the associated solar proton enhancements gives useful results.
