Abstract: δ Scuti stars are variable stars pulsating in nonradial low-order p and g modes. The presence of a convective core during the main sequence influences the oscillation spectrum of such stars. We construct a grid of models covering a large panel of typical δ Scuti properties and we determine the most suitable oscillation mode to probe the deep stellar interior and to measure the extent of the convective core. We investigate the effect induced by different values of the overshooting parameter on the position of the limit of the convective core.
