Abstract: FUSE spectra have been employed to determine the abundances of four Fe group elements in the sharp-lined B0.5 main-sequence star AV 304 in the Small Magellanic Cloud. Seven strong Fe III lines yield a [Fe/H]Solar= −0.79±0.19 dex, which agrees well with SMC abundances from A supergiants and the ISM. V, Cr, and Mn are even more underabundant with values of [M/H]Solar < −0.8 dex. We have also confirmed low abundances for C (-0.90 dex) and N (-1.25 dex) from the analysis of prominent C III and N III lines in the FUSE spectral region.
