| Abstract: |
A method for determining the geometric distortion of the FUSE detectors using data from the in-orbit stimulation lamp exposures is presented. We use a wavelet approach to smooth the images, while enhancing the shape of the shadows cast by the plasma and QE grids. By tracing the horizontal and vertical shadows, a two dimensional map of the geometric distortion can be created by assuming the wires are straight and evenly spaced. |
