Abstract: We present recent simulations of accretion disc turbulence. These simulations include a detailed thermodynamics using radiative transfer in the one-temperature flux-limited diffusion approximation. In this paper we investigate how radiative diffusion changes the spatial structure and the turbulence for a protoplanetary accretion disc. Our simulations consider a massive protoplanetary disc model. In these models the vertical structure of the disc results from a balance of the radiative diffusion and the turbulent heating in the midplane region of the disc.
