Abstract: GRB 090618 is an interesting burst observed simultaneously by the Swift-BAT and Fermi-GBM instruments as well as other detectors. Its light curve shows two emission episodes with four prominent pulses. It is obvious that the pulse in the first episode has a smoother morphology than the three pulses in the second episode. Using the pulse peak-fit method, we have performed a detailed analysis of the pulse temporal and spectral characteristics within this burst. We find that the pulses in the different emission episodes exhibit different properties. The mechanism which causes the different pulse characteristics within a burst is unclear.
