Abstract: |
We made deep JHKs imaging polarimetry toward the Serpens cloud core. The polarization vector map shows that the IR reflection light in this region mainly originates from SVS2, SVS4 and SVS20, and that several small IR reflection nebulae are associated with other YSOs. The polarization measurements of the point sources indicate that an hourglass-patterned magnetic field is nearly perpendicular to the direction of elongation of C18O (J=1–0) emission or the alignment direction of the submillimeter continuum cores SMM1–11. |
