Abstract: We report the discovery of 56 M-dwarf eclipsing binary candidates in multi-band sparsely sampled time-series data collected by the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) over a period of ten years in SDSS Stripe 82. We briefly describe the methods used to build a light-curve catalog of ∼ 1.4 million point sources and identify ∼ 17,000 variable objects. Further, we discuss the extraction and characterization of ∼ 600 periodic variables including nearly 300 eclipsing binaries, including many examples of low mass K and M-dwarf binaries. Finally, we describe our efforts to obtain preliminary measurements of the relative luminosities, temperatures, and radii of the stars in some of these binary systems by fitting models to their SDSS r and i band light-curves.
