Abstract: |
Understanding the physics of the baryonic component of galaxies is
clearly critical to understanding the nature of dark matter,
particularly on galaxy scales. Resolved stellar populations play a
unique role in constraining important aspects such as the merger
history of galaxies in the Local Group, and in tracing the dark matter
density profile, as briefly reviewed here. |
