Abstract: Intrinsic absorbers in quasar outflows have a wide range of properties, providing us information about the local environment of the quasar. We present here a search for intrinsic absorption lines in the spectra of 73 VLT/UVES quasars, intrinsic narrow absorption line (NAL) families, and their implications on models for the formation of NALs.
