| Abstract: |
We present new ultraviolet absorption data from the Cosmic Origins
Spectrograph of intrinsic absorption in the Seyfert 1 galaxy Mrk 876
(z = 0.129). This highly ionized outflow shows absorption in O VI and N V with little or no C IV at two velocities
relative to the galaxy, –3900 and –3625 km s–1. We show the
solutions for the column densities of the various species along with
the covering fraction of the line and continuum emission across the
absorption profiles. |
