Abstract: |
We have identified a large number of γ Dor stars in the Kepler
public data archive. These stars can be classified into three groups based
on the appearance of the light curves. They define a strip in the H-R diagram
coincident with ground-based γ Dor stars. A statistical analysis of
their frequencies suggests that their pulsation periods are close to the
rotation periods. This may be the reason why the pulsation frequencies are
confined to a narrow frequency range. From the appearance of the periodogram
of a Kepler δ Sct star in the low-frequency region, we are able
to identify a subset of stars which may be γ Dor/δ Sct hybrids.
However, we still do not have an explanation of the low frequencies seen in
most A–F stars. |
