Abstract: Intrinsic variability studies of massive stars have mostly concentrated on H-burning stars slightly later than O type, e.g. β Cep variables, slowly pulsating B-stars, Be stars. In this overview I will briefly examine all massive stars, including the more massive O stars and their descendants. Of particular interest are the long strings of high-precision photometry that can now be obtained from space, in particular by the “humble” Canadian microsatellite MOST (Microvariability and Oscillations of STars) launched in 2003 and capable of reaching a large swath of the sky.
